Dr. Steve Simmons:
Dr. Simmons is originally from San Diego, California & graduated from the University of California at San Diego in 1993 with a B.S in Animal Physiology & Neuroscience. He received his DVM from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1998 & then went on to complete a rotating small animal internship at the University of Illinois, located in Champaign-Urbana. From 1999 to 2006, Dr. Simmons practiced at a large veterinary practice located in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Simmons has a large pet family of his own, which includes several dogs, cats, birds, and a ferret. Dr. Simmons is also an avid bowler and is a member of a bowling league in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Dr. Simmons is a member of several professional associations including the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Florida Veterinary Medical Association, and the Palm Beach Veterinary Society. Dr. Simmons' professional interests include internal medicine, oncology, dermatology & soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Cindy Rigg:
Dr. Rigg grew up in a family of dogs, cats, rabbits, snakes, horses, cattle, pigs and a squirrel. She attended the University of Chicago and received her Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the University of Maryland. In 1991, she proudly accepted her DVM degree from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation, she controlled the importation and spread of diseases while working for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). After deciding to return to private practice, she spent the next 14 years caring for animals in emergency rooms as well as in the daytime setting. While Dr Rigg had many dogs and other animals including a flock of sheep, her life is currently controlled by her two cats, Ian and Fiona.
